Ballet
Classical Ballet classes, suitable for students starting at 3 years old, provide a strong foundation in ballet techniques. For those looking to advance, Prepointe and Pointe classes are available to elevate your skills. Students can also opt for exams in the SFD syllabus to further their ballet training journey.

Tap
Tap classes for dancers aged 3 and above are skillfully led by our experienced instructors. At Croydon School of Dance, we invite you to join us to explore the vibrant rhythms and intricate movements of tap dancing. You will have the opportunity to follow the SFD syllabus, enabling you to undertake examinations that will further enhance and develop your tap dancing skills.
Jazz
Jazz classes at Croydon School of Dance are expertly designed to cater to dancers as young as 3 years old, ensuring a nurturing and engaging introduction to the world of dance. Following the carefully crafted SFD syllabus provides a solid foundation for growth. Examinations are available allowing students to challenge themselves in the Jazz style.
Creative Ballet
An introduction to dance for our youngest students, incorporating a blend of ballet and rhythm and music fundamentals. Through this engaging program, children develop coordination, balance and musicality skills. The use of props like percussion instruments, parachutes, ribbons, and wands adds an element of fun to their learning experience. Ages 2 - 4 years.
Pre Foundation and Foundation
New in 2026!
This class combines the foundation styles of Tap Jazz and Ballet to give our young dancers a great start to their dance journey. With 30 mins training in each style dancers can develop a well rounded teahnique ready to propell them into their formal dance training. With lots of emphasis on fun and a cute uniform provided we know your little ones will love this new program.
Prefoundation program suited to kinder aged students 3 - 4 years.
Foundation program suited to students in foundation aat primary school age 4 - 6 years.
Contemporary
An interpretive style of dance that incorporates classical ballet, jazz, modern dance and lyrical technique, fostering a blend of genres that has surged in popularity over the recent years. This fusion not only enhances the art form but also brings a distinctive and innovative flair to this popular dance style.
Hip Hop
Hip Hop is a distinctive and exhilarating street style dance form that thrives on individual expression. At Croydon School of Dance, this high-octane style captivates students due to its perfect blend of precise technique and boundless creative freedom.
Breakdance
An extension of Hip Hop, breakdance is a mixture of tricks and movement to music. Requiring a combination of discipline and strength break is a great opportunity for students to build confidence whilst developing their own style. Popular with both boys and girls, students will learn the four fundamentals of breaking - Top rock, down rock, freezes and power moves.
Mixed Styles
A dynamic class designed to build versatile well rounded dancers. Each week explores a new genre, from musical theatre and disco to country and western, contemporary, lyrical, Bollywood, salsa, latin styles and more. Dancers develop adaptability, performance quality and confidence while experiencing a wide range of movement styles in a fun and supportive enironment. Mixed Styles keeps dancers on their toes each week!
Pre Pointe & Pointe
To further enhance their ballet training students are invited to take part in Pre Pointe classes. These classes involve strength building exercises and stretches to enhance dance technique and potentially lead to students achieving their Pointe shoes.
All students aged 12+ are welcome to take part in Pre Pointe as a strength and conditioning class, however this must be taken in conjunction with ballet training to work towards Pointe classes.
